There are lots of comments and question asking about renewable energy. Some people would like to point out that, instead of Malaysia going to have a nuclear power plant why not we just have a Renewable Energy Source such as Solar Power, Wind Power, or perhaps maybe Hydro Power? Why not we just continue with Renewable Energy that absolutely a “risk – free” solution? These are very popular questions that public and community had been discussed within this past few years. Here, we do a small comparison between renewable energy and nuclear power and show why nuclear power generation is better choice compare to others.....
First start with Wind Energy, the power generated by Windmill is not that high to support energy demand In Malaysia, the strong wind is rarely exist even its located at higher sea level. The other reason is, Wind Energy requires land with a big area in order to let the wind flow through the Windmill. Solar Energy ? the energy is provided by the absorption energy from the sun light. Beside that, it’s need a huge big area spaces to produce the energy sources. What if during the night? Same goes to Hydro Energy, it much similar to Wind energy. We already damaged our ecosystem with carbon emission and results global warming. In order to balance it, we need GREENERY to balance the temperature and humidity in our atmosphere. In other words, trees and plants are needed in order to maintain our nature. By having Hydro Energy, it actually destroy our precious greenery in our country. Just imagine how many forest and mountain that have been destroyed by having a hydro power plant?
As the conclusion, referring to the geographical status in Malaysia, nuclear may be the best choice for current technologies. Nuclear is indeed have its risk, but it is controllable. It's also up to those who will create the new energy technologies of the future. All energy sources have an impact on the environment. Concerns about the greenhouse effect and global warming, air pollution, and energy security have led to increasing interest and more development in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, wave power and hydrogen ,but is there sufficient enough to overcome electricity in future, by using coal ,natural gases and some other fuel .Apart from that ,are they peoples capable to buy electricity with high price? so that, there is the solution to used nuclear energy as a replace to overcome energy problem Malaysia. To make sure we have plenty of energy in the future, it's up to all of us to use energy intelligently. We must all conserve energy and use it efficiently.
